Andrea Savorani Neri (Faenza, 1976) is a photographer, filmmaker, and journalist based in Paris, France.

He graduated in modern literature from the University of Bologna and he attended photography's courses at IUAV - University of Venice, furthering his exploration of documentary photography through the workshops taught by Guido Guidi, Cuny Janssen, Gerry Johansson, and Peter Fraser.

Since the beginning of his career he has been investigating the relation between language and image. After a period of research in Spain, France, and Russia, he settled in Paris, where he started teaching at the University of Paris III, Sorbonne Nouvelle, and later on at the Université Paris Cité. Under a master’s program financed by the European Union achieved in 2005, he began working as a professional photographer, journalist, filmmaker and documentary producer for international TV networks, news agencies and printed press (NUR photo agency, IMAGO photo agency, euronews, BBC, Sky tg24, RAI - Italian Public Service Broadcaster, Apcom, L'Espresso, Avvenire, Sette Sere, Pasta Grannies Documentary Channel, HFP Productions, etc). Throughout this time, he has collaborated with publishing houses and photographic studios.

His photographs have been published in newspapers and magazines worldwide: Le Monde, Le Figaro, Libération, Le Point, Le Nouvel Obs, Paris Match, Télérama, Les Echos, L'Express, Le Courrier International, La Croix, Ouest France, Acteurs Publics, Mediapart, Slate, L'Indépendant, France Culture, France Info, Marianne, JDD, Le Télégramme, The Guardian, BBC World, Huffington Post, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Wired, Forbes, Al Jazeera, World Politics Review, The Daily Beast, El País, L'Espresso, La Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore, Novaya Gazeta, Der Spiegel, Die Presse, Bild, Stern, Deutsche Welle, Die Zeit, Nieuwsblad and many other newspapers around the world.

His personal photographic research, using a 4x5 large format camera, focuses on the relationship between landscape and social, cultural and political phenomena, with a documentary approach.
